Created over three decades ago by Willie G. Davidson, grandson of founder William A. Davidson, the #1 logo commemorates the winning of the 1969 AMA Grand National Championship by Harley-Davidson racing legend, Mert Lawill. Through the 1970’s, the #1 remained Harley-Davidson’s official logo. Today the #1 logo reflects more than our racing heritage. It’s about the love of the bike and the passion for the ride.It’s a symbol of American pride and of Harley-Davidson heritage. This jacket is made of midweight leather with an action back, zippered sleeves, a mandarin collar, and two front pockets.There is a Harley-Davidson graphic on the left chest and a large #1 applique on the back.
